We are looking for an Agile Development Manager to lead our platform team. In this role you’ll be a part of the development management team, together with four other Development Managers, our Technical Director, UX Director and CTO. Together, you and your colleagues have the strategic responsibility to lead the development department, streamline existing processes and structures, and continue to build our strong culture that aligns with the Hemnet's values. 

The Platform team’s mission is to enable our development teams to release and maintain their products by providing an approachable, stable, highly automated infrastructure.

Some of the team’s main responsibilities:

  • Develop and evolve our core API:s and components - making sure they fit current and future demands.
  • Tools for CI/CD, release pipeline and monitoring.
  • System security, performance, stability and data integrity.
  • External integrations to broker and payment systems.

What you'll do at Hemnet 

This is a role with varying responsibilities. You will be heading the platform team in a period where a big focus at Hemnet is improving our already popular property portal. One part of that is to further develop our infrastructure and platform. We have a lot of initiatives going on and the work environment at Hemnet is dynamic, collaborative and fast paced.  

As an Agile Development Manager at Hemnet you will:

  • Lead your team - with a total of seven team members - through recruitment, coaching, development, feedback, goals setting, etc. 
  • Create great conditions for the team to deliver value and build technically stable solutions that meet our business goals.
  • Further develop our agile way of working with the team, to make the job more fun and more efficient.
  • Work closely with the Product Manager of the platform team by, for example, taking part in planning and priority meetings. 
  • Be part of Hemnets leadership community.

Who are you?

Since you will be leading a team responsible for our infrastructure we see it as a big plus that you come from an infrastructure background yourself, or at least have a big interest in this part of the tech stack. This so you’ll be able to understand why the team chooses certain technical solutions and to be able to facilitate discussions around that. 

We are looking for you who:

  • Have experience working as an infrastructure specialist, devops specialist, solution architect or backend developer.   
  • Have leadership experience. Either as a tech lead, team coach or similar or from a development manager role. 
  • Have worked in a web environment where deployments are made frequently and the responsibility for deployments is distributed in the development teams. 
  • Have experience working in self-propelled development teams with short feedback loops.
